This post is brought to you by our sponsor, “Always Eat After 7 PM”. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
You really have to think first about what dieting is. Is it changing something temporarily? Is it a full lifestyle change?
I personally believe a diet should be a change not only for the better but for a lifetime. After trying a ton of yo-yo diets, cutting carbs, and all sorts of crazy stuff to lose weight, I wanted to give up. And then I was introduced to Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion.
The book and the three-phase plan have given me hope I didn’t have before. Always Eat levels the playing field by essentially giving you a blueprint on how to make the changes for the long term. For myself, adjusting how much and when I eat helps to balance everything. My life is so up and down, I don’t always have time to work out or even take a simple walk. Being able to do some of the work while I am sleeping makes things easier for me to tackle. And it helps with my “whys” and to stay focused.
After reading Always Eat, I had a few questions that had come up. So here they are and the answers I found.
Is it difficult to follow the Always Eat After 7 PM plan?
It’s not. And that’s exactly why I wrote the book. While any diet is never truly easy, it can be more enjoyable and much easier to adhere to when you understand how Always Eat After 7pm works because it caters to our bodies’ natural instincts.

Joel Marion’s Always Eat After 7PM program makes dieting easy and eliminates 90% of reasons for resistance. And honestly if you need any more reasons as to the struggles faced when starting, see (insert Week #1 link)
How long did it take in order to develop the Always Eat After 7pm plan?
It actually took several years of researching for me to discover the real science of eating late night. After a few years of tweaking and refining, I finally came up with a rapid fat loss solution that overcomes all the pitfalls of traditional diets.
Even with the Always Eat plan being easy, there are still part of it I am in total awe of, such as “Going without breakfast is part of intermittent fasting (IF), also called time-restricted feeding (TRF). IF is a pattern of food consumption that cycles between fasting and eating in specific time periods.
There are various ways to do it; one of the most common is the 16/8 protocol, which involves 16 hours of fasting—typically done overnight—with an 8-hour window in which to eat each day.”
And it is simply because this is not a typical thing for me, it is more 4 or 5 hours and the rest of the time stuffing my face. This has been a huge eye-opener for me.
Some of the great bits of information include a brief Q and A with the Author, which I found extremely interesting and very informative. Feel free to read the entire QA below:
Q1: What inspired you to write the book?
After authoring 6 best selling books it was glaringly obvious there were 2 huge misconceptions about dieting that needed to be exposed. The first is that you can’t eat late at night or before bed, which science now shows is NOT true. And second, you can’t eat large portions that satisfy your natural instinct. This book solves both these problems by providing an evidence-based, enjoyable approach to dieting that can be used by any person to quickly achieve their weight loss goals.
Q2: How long did it take for you to develop the diet?
It actually took several years of researching for me to discover the real science of eating late night. After a few years of tweaking and refining, I finally came up with a rapid fat loss solution that overcomes all the pitfalls of traditional diets.
Q3: What was the most surprising discovery when you were researching scientific data for the diet?
That almost everything my college education and certifications taught me was NOT grounded in published scientific research.
Q4: You’re a six-time best selling author, what is different about this book compared to your others?
Although many of the concepts are similar, the biggest difference is that you don’t have to deprive yourself of your favorite foods. You don’t have to deal with the burden of eating every few hours. And you don’t have to skip the carbs at dinnertime or avoid eating before bed.
Q5: How difficult is the Always Eat After 7 PM plan to follow?
It’s not. And that’s exactly why I wrote the book. While any diet is never truly easy, it can be more enjoyable and much easier to adhere to when you understand how Always Eat After 7pm works because it caters to our bodies natural instincts.
Q6: If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
